It’s troubling and quite frankly embarrassing to witness the former President of the United States, Donald Trump, referred to his wife Melania as ‘Mercedes’ during a live speech at CPAC. The fact that he mentioned changing her name, and commonly interchanged the two names, is indicative of a concerning lack of regard and respect for his own wife. The excuse that the media misinterpreted his words is simply a cover-up for a slip of the tongue that speaks volumes about the dynamics of his marriage and the level of attention he pays to his personal relationships.
