Shia LaBeouf Accused of Homophobic Slurs During New Orleans Arrest
The actor Shia LaBeouf was arrested in New Orleans and faces misdemeanor battery charges after allegedly assaulting two men, one of whom identified as queer and the other who was dressed in drag. During the incident, LaBeouf reportedly directed homophobic slurs at both victims. Although the homophobic remarks were omitted from the initial police report, one of the victims captured video evidence of the slurs, and both victims confirmed the hateful language. Despite the arrest and allegations, LaBeouf was released on his own recognizance and was seen celebrating Mardi Gras shortly after.
