The timing of this decision seems inconvenient for Trump, given that his lawyers have delayed proceedings for so long. The shocking surveillance footage of the Kentucky judge’s shooting that was recently played in court is a disturbing reminder of the darkness that can reside in individuals entrusted with upholding the law. As I watched the video unfold, my initial shock and disbelief quickly turned into anger and confusion. How could someone in a position of power and authority commit such a heinous act?
