When I heard about Trump’s ‘heartless’ punchline about the man killed at his rally, I wasn’t shocked. This is just another example of the lack of empathy and decency that he consistently displays. It seems that he is incapable of understanding or valuing human emotions, especially in moments of tragedy. To make a joke out of someone’s death, to use it as a punchline in a speech to his supporters, is beyond inappropriate.

It’s an intriguing scenario where inmates, typically confined indoors, will now have the rare opportunity to step outside and witness this celestial event. The idea of prisoners going out into the yard to view the eclipse almost seems like a scene from a novel by Hemingway, adding a touch of literary flair to what might otherwise be a routine day behind bars.
