It’s always interesting to see how certain groups react when a company decides not to align with their beliefs or values. The recent call for a boycott of Dunkin Donuts by MAGA fans after the CEO of Rumble claimed that the coffee chain refused to advertise on their platform due to its “right-wing culture” is a perfect example. The irony here is palpable, as the same group that is so vehemently against cancel culture is quick to jump on the boycott bandwagon when things don’t go their way.

Lauren Boebert seems to have a knack for making outrageous statements, and her recent comparison of Trump and Jesus as victims of cancel culture is no exception. As I sit and ponder her words, I can’t help but feel a sense of disbelief and disgust at the audacity of equating the two vastly different figures.
The idea that Jesus, the epitome of love, compassion, and forgiveness, could in any way be compared to Trump, a man known for his divisive rhetoric, egotistical nature, and questionable moral character, is downright blasphemous. As I read about the incident involving the teens who were wrongly accused of wearing blackface at an elite Catholic school, I can’t help but feel a sense of frustration and disbelief. These boys, identified as A.H. and H.H., were expelled from the school for a photo that was taken three years prior to the incident coming to light. The photo, which showed the boys with what appeared to be blackface, was actually a result of them using an acne mask. It’s mind-boggling to me how the school administrators failed to conduct a proper investigation before taking such drastic measures against these young students.… Continue reading
