Biden vows to make the collapse of the border bill a major campaign issue, and he’s right to highlight the lack of border security during the Trump administration. As someone who believes in the value of immigrants and their contributions to our country, I am glad to see Biden taking a strong stance on this issue.
The notion that the border is insecure solely because of Donald Trump is not far-fetched. Under his leadership, the policies and practices at the border were deeply flawed. Trump’s focus on building a wall, while neglecting comprehensive immigration reform, did nothing to address the root causes of migration or create a more secure border.… Continue reading
