Mexican Navy Ship Strikes Brooklyn Bridge
The Mexican Navy training ship Cuauhtémoc struck the Brooklyn Bridge’s underside during a training cruise, causing damage to the ship’s mast and injuring 20 people, three critically. The incident briefly closed all lanes of the bridge before reopening later that night. The Mexican Navy is investigating the cause of the accident, cooperating with local authorities.
