A wave of relief washes over Arizona as the news breaks that Senator Kyrsten Sinema will not seek re-election in 2024. This announcement comes as a much-needed reprieve for many who feel let down, deceived, and outright betrayed by the senator. As someone who put in time, money, and effort to support her during her election campaign in 2018, I can’t help but feel a sense of dismay at how far she strayed from the values and ideas she once purported to stand for.

Ted Cruz faces losing his seat in Texas

Ted Cruz faces losing his seat in Texas, and I couldn’t be happier. Admittedly, I have a special kind of dislike for him, much like Al Franken’s sentiment of liking him less than most of my colleagues but hating him just the same. The recent poll numbers show that Cruz is struggling, especially with independent women and men, and even more glaringly, with a complete lack of support from Democratic women voters. This is a rare and perhaps significant shift in the political landscape of Texas.
