The recent news about flu deaths in children hitting a new record as vaccination rates decrease is truly distressing. It grips my heart to hear these tragic stories of children suffering and even dying from a preventable illness. As a parent, I can’t imagine the pain and anguish that families must go through when they lose a child to the flu, especially knowing that a simple flu shot could have potentially saved their lives.
