Two U.S. Forest Service employees were released unharmed early Friday morning after being held hostage for over 12 hours near Gumboot Lake in Shasta-Trinity National Forest. Law enforcement arrested Joseph Charles Henrichsen, 49, and his son Phoenix Henrichsen, accusing them of kidnapping a federal employee. The incident began Thursday when Joseph Henrichsen, armed with an AR-15 and knives, held the employees at gunpoint in a trailer.
