Senator’s Wife Survives Eight Gunshots, Blames Political Climate

Minnesota Senator John Hoffman and his wife, Yvette, were critically injured in a shooting at their home, with Yvette shielding their daughter. The suspect, Vance Boelter, was apprehended and charged after a manhunt. Tragically, State Representative Melissa Hortman and her husband were also fatally shot in a related attack, prompting Governor Walz to label the violence politically motivated. Boelter’s vehicle, containing a target list and materials linked to anti-government protests, was found abandoned.
