Supreme Court Justice Alito sold Bud Light stock, then bought Coors, during boycott

As I reflect on the recent news regarding Supreme Court Justice Alito selling his Bud Light stock and buying Coors during a boycott, I can’t help but feel a sense of disappointment and concern. The idea that a member of the highest court in the land would engage in such seemingly petty and politically charged actions is disheartening, to say the least.

While there may not be anything inherently illegal or unethical about selling and buying stocks based on public information, the timing and reasoning behind Justice Alito’s actions raise eyebrows. It’s troubling to think that someone in such a pivotal position of power would be influenced by partisan politics or social media movements when making financial decisions.… Continue reading

Rep. Raskin: “the highest court in the land has the lowest ethical standards.”

The recent statement made by Representative Jamie Raskin about the ethical standards of the Supreme Court hit the nail on the head. The highest court in the land, responsible for upholding justice and the rule of law, has hit rock bottom in terms of ethical standards. When individuals are appointed to a lifetime position with virtually no oversight or accountability, it’s no surprise that they believe they are untouchable and can do whatever they please.

It is unacceptable that the Supreme Court, which is meant to be a beacon of justice and impartiality, has been tainted by the actions of some of its members.… Continue reading

Samuel Alito’s snide denial of his Jan. 6 flag is just as ugly as flying it in the first place

As I reflect on the recent news surrounding Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito and his controversial response to the Jan. 6 flag displayed outside his home, I can’t help but feel a deep sense of disappointment and frustration. The blatant denial and deflection of responsibility exhibited by Alito in this situation is just as disheartening and concerning as the act of flying the flag in the first place.

The implications of Alito’s actions, or lack thereof, are disturbing on multiple levels. The fact that a sitting Supreme Court Justice would openly support and condone the violent insurrection that took place on Jan.… Continue reading

Durbin calls for Alito recusal from Jan. 6 cases over upside-down flag flew at his home

As I ponder the recent news of Justice Samuel Alito flying the American flag upside-down at his home, I can’t help but feel a sense of disappointment and disbelief. The symbolism of an inverted flag is universally recognized as a distress signal, a call for help or an indication that something is terribly wrong. And for a Supreme Court justice to engage in such an act is not just deeply concerning, but also downright unpatriotic.

Alito’s feeble attempt to blame his wife for this egregious display only adds insult to injury. It’s cowardly and downright absurd for someone in his position to try and shift responsibility in such a manner.… Continue reading

“Out of control”: Legal experts say Justice Alito’s “Stop the Steal” symbol is a huge red flag

It’s clear that the current state of affairs in the Supreme Court is nothing short of a mess. The recent revelation of Justice Alito’s “Stop the Steal” symbol is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the questionable behavior of those who are supposed to uphold justice and fairness in our legal system. The fact that a Supreme Court Justice is openly displaying a symbol associated with a baseless conspiracy theory is not only concerning but downright unacceptable.

As a member of the United States Air Force, I was taught to respect the flag and all that it stands for.… Continue reading

At Justice Alito’s House, a ‘Stop the Steal’ Symbol on Display

At Justice Alito’s House, a ‘Stop the Steal’ Symbol on Display

When I think of the Supreme Court, I used to think of a beacon of justice, a pillar of moral authority that stood above the fray of partisan politics. But now, as I see the news about Justice Alito’s house displaying a ‘Stop the Steal’ symbol, my faith in the institution has been shattered. The Supreme Court, which is meant to be the highest arbiter of justice in our country, has succumbed to corruption and partisanship.

The fact that Justice Alito allowed a symbol associated with the baseless claims of election fraud to be displayed at his house is not only concerning, but it also speaks volumes about the state of our democracy.… Continue reading

17% of Voters Blame Biden for the End of Roe

I am utterly amazed by the recent revelation that 17% of voters place the blame on President Biden for the demise of Roe v. Wade. It is disheartening to see such a significant portion of the population, albeit a minority, hold such a misguided belief. This is a clear indication of the rampant misinformation and lack of critical thinking that plagues our society.

It is baffling to witness how these individuals are quick to shift the responsibility to President Biden, despite the fact that it was former President Trump who proudly claimed credit for stacking the Supreme Court with pro-life justices.… Continue reading

The Supreme Court Rules That Cops Can Steal Your Stuff—as They Always Have

The Supreme Court has once again made a decision that raises eyebrows and questions about law enforcement practices in the United States. The recent ruling essentially gives cops the green light to seize your property, a practice known as civil asset forfeiture. This means that law enforcement can take your possessions without even charging you with a crime, let alone convicting you. It’s legalized theft, plain and simple.

What is even more alarming is the fact that this ruling is not surprising to many people. The G.O.P. has shown time and time again that their priorities lie in abusing power for personal gain rather than serving the best interests of the public.… Continue reading

A Supreme Court Justice Gave Us Alarming New Evidence That He’s Living in MAGA World

A Supreme Court Justice Gave Us Alarming New Evidence That He’s Living in MAGA World

It’s no secret that Supreme Court Justices Alito and Thomas have been causing a stir with their controversial decisions and opinions. Alito, in particular, has raised eyebrows with his recent statements regarding presidential immunity. He seems to be living in a world where he believes that presidents should be above the law, immune from prosecution for any crimes they may commit while in office.

Alito’s reasoning is not only flawed, but it is also dangerous. By advocating for unchecked power for the president, he is essentially enabling authoritarian rule and undermining the very foundations of our democracy.… Continue reading

The Court is Corrupt. Say It With Me.

The court is corrupt. The recent discussions regarding presidential immunity have shed light on the concerning state of affairs within the Supreme Court. The idea that Presidents could essentially have unlimited immunity, except for impeachment while in office, is a dangerous precedent that should not be tolerated. The Supreme Court Justices entertaining such notions are treading on thin ice.

The Supreme Court’s role is to interpret current laws and ensure they align with the Constitution. There are no laws explicitly granting immunity to the President, and this power is not mentioned in the Constitution. To suggest otherwise would be a clear case of judicial overreach – the court legislating from the bench and assuming powers they do not rightfully possess.… Continue reading
