Australia Fast-Tracks Visas for Family of Bondi Hero Ahmed Al-Ahmed
In the wake of his heroic actions during the Bondi Beach terror attack, Ahmed Al-Ahmed’s family overseas has been granted visas to visit him in Australia. The federal government expedited the visa applications for his siblings, who will be traveling from Germany, Russia, and the United Arab Emirates. The heroic act by Mr. Al-Ahmed, who was shot while disarming a gunman, garnered worldwide recognition and prompted an outpouring of support, including a $2.5 million cheque and praise from King Charles. Mr. Al-Ahmed is currently recovering from multiple surgeries and is anticipated to be discharged as early as Monday.
