Tennessee Explosives Facility Blast: 19 Missing, No Survivors Confirmed
A massive explosion at a military explosives manufacturing facility in Tennessee has left eighteen people missing. The blast, which leveled the factory and caused secondary explosions, prompted a large response from local and federal agencies, including the FBI and ATF. The cause of the explosion at the Accurate Energetic Systems plant, which produced and stored high-grade military and commercial explosives, remains unclear. Authorities are conducting a “slow and methodical” investigation and focusing on supporting the families of the missing employees. This marks the second explosion at the same location, with a similar incident occurring in 2014.
