Fetterman Blames Green Party Voters for Pennsylvania Senate Loss

Senator John Fetterman, D-Pa., expressed frustration over the close Senate race in Pennsylvania, blaming Green Party voters for potentially contributing to the Republican candidate’s victory. Fetterman, while acknowledging that thousands of votes remained uncounted, criticized Green Party voters in a social media post, referring to them as “dips***s.” His remarks drew criticism from many, including those who pointed out that the Green Party voters were also his constituents. This controversy comes as President-elect Donald Trump leads in the Pennsylvania gubernatorial race, a significant shift from the 2020 presidential election results, where President Joe Biden won the state by a narrow margin.

Pennsylvania Senate Seat Flipped: McCormick Ousts Casey in Upset Victory

Republican David McCormick has flipped the pivotal Pennsylvania Senate seat, ousting incumbent Bob Casey in a stunning upset. This victory marks a significant shift in the political landscape, as Casey had previously won his last three Senate races by comfortable margins. McCormick, a self-funded candidate with deep ties to Wall Street, campaigned on a platform that resonated with working-class voters who felt neglected by the Democratic party. His victory has fueled a wave of frustration and disappointment among Democrats, who are left grappling with the implications of this loss.

McCormick’s win has been attributed to a number of factors, including the strong Republican turnout in rural areas and a perception that Casey had become detached from the concerns of his constituents.… Continue reading

Boebert Faces Tough Election Challenge as Voters Demand Change in Colorado

The Trump campaign has filed a Federal Election Commission (FEC) complaint and a $10 billion lawsuit against the Washington Post and CBS respectively, accusing them of election interference. Despite losing over 250,000 subscribers, the Post had chosen not to endorse any presidential candidate, dismissing a prepared endorsement of Kamala Harris due to an order from its owner, Jeff Bezos. The Trump campaign alleges that CBS favorably edited a 60 Minutes interview with Harris, which they claim amounts to election interference. This comes after Trump expressed dissatisfaction with his performance at ABC’s presidential debate with Harris, going as far as calling for ABC’s license to be revoked. In the run up to the election, Trump’s media attacks appear to be strategic attempts to get favorable coverage and undermine faith in political journalism.

Early In-Person Voting in North Carolina Surpasses 2020 Figures Amid High Enthusiasm and Long Lines

Early in-person voting in North Carolina has already outpaced the total from the 2020 fall elections. As of late Thursday, nearly 3.8 million people had cast early in-person ballots, exceeding the previous record of 3.63 million. Including absentee, military, and overseas votes, the total rises to nearly 4.01 million ballots, over 51% of the state’s 7.83 million registered voters. The increase in early voting is partly due to a push by state and national Republicans, despite greater numbers of registered Democrats statewide. North Carolinians will be voting for several statewide positions, including governor and attorney general.

Ted Cruz Losing to Colin Allred for First Time: Texas Poll

As a Texan, seeing the news that Ted Cruz could potentially be losing to Colin Allred for the first time in Texas is both surprising and exciting. Ted Cruz, often referred to as “Cancun Ted” after abandoning Texas during the winter outages last year, has never been a popular figure in this state. His lack of real connection with the people, paired with his arrogant and dismissive demeanor, has left many Texans feeling disenfranchised and unrepresented.

Allred’s campaign seems to be gaining traction, especially with the recent poll results showing him one point ahead of Cruz among likely voters. This is a significant moment for Texas, a state that has long been considered a stronghold for Republicans.… Continue reading

Ted Cruz faces losing his seat in Texas

Ted Cruz faces losing his seat in Texas, and I couldn’t be happier. Admittedly, I have a special kind of dislike for him, much like Al Franken’s sentiment of liking him less than most of my colleagues but hating him just the same. The recent poll numbers show that Cruz is struggling, especially with independent women and men, and even more glaringly, with a complete lack of support from Democratic women voters. This is a rare and perhaps significant shift in the political landscape of Texas.

Looking back at previous elections, the margins by which Ted Cruz secured his Senate seat are narrowing.… Continue reading
