The court will provide them with a public defender, which seems fitting given their lack of financial responsibility. As a parent, reading about the tragic story of a 10-year-old boy being swept into a storm drain is absolutely heartbreaking. Imagining the fear and helplessness that he must have felt in his final moments is gut-wrenching. The idea of a storm drain being able to sweep a child into it is truly terrifying.
