It’s no secret that in today’s age of social media and a 24-hour news cycle, disinformation and lies can spread like wildfire. The GOP seems to have mastered the art of the “firehose of falsehood,” bombarding the public with misleading videos and fake news about Joe Biden. I couldn’t help but cringe as I read about the Republican candidate in Colorado, Richard Holtorf, being grilled in an interview about his past actions regarding his girlfriend’s abortion. It’s astonishing how some politicians who claim to be pro-life can have such conflicting views when it comes to their personal lives. Holtorf stated that he believes in restricting abortion access but also mentioned that there should be exceptions to these restrictions. This hypocrisy is truly mind-boggling.
