The tragic loss of their parents while on vacation in Florida is something that no family should ever have to endure. Rip currents are no joke, and unfortunately, many people are not properly educated on how to escape them. The fact that the total fertility rate has been declining steadily, dropping below 2.1 in 1983 and hitting 1.5 in 1998, is alarming. The scorching temperatures in Mecca, reaching up to 120 degrees, are unbearable and dangerous, claiming the lives of many who traveled there for this sacred pilgrimage. It is difficult to comprehend why such a significant event is held during the hottest part of the year, putting the lives of participants at risk. One of the most recent incidents in the ongoing battle for climate change awareness has left me feeling conflicted and frustrated. Climate protesters were arrested after painting the iconic Stonehenge monument orange in an attempt to draw attention to the urgent need for action.
