The recent reports of three individuals killed and nearly 100 wounded in an ATACMS attack on Crimea have once again highlighted the ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine. The Russian Defence Ministry claimed that U.S.-delivered ATACMS missiles with cluster warheads were shot down by air defense systems, but the detonation of one missile led to casualties on a beach in Sevastopol.
It is crucial to acknowledge that Ukraine did not target civilians intentionally with these missiles. The blame for the tragic incident lies squarely on the shoulders of the Russian-installed authorities who allowed civilians to be in harm’s way. As an individual who is not directly impacted by the recent decision made by the Israeli Supreme Court regarding the mandatory military service for ultra-Orthodox individuals, I find myself both intrigued and conflicted by the implications of this ruling. The exemption that was originally put in place for a select few has now become a loophole for a significant population to avoid their civic duty. The idea that a certain segment of the population can evade military service while others risk their lives for the defense of the nation seems inherently unfair.

Will Trump chicken out of the presidential debate? Probably. He’s a Grade-A coward. With the upcoming debate looming on the horizon, it’s hard not to speculate on whether Trump will have the guts to face Biden on the national stage. Considering his track record of avoiding accountability and responsibility, the odds of him backing out are quite high. The fear of being exposed as incompetent or unstable seems to be enough to make him cower in the face of a fair fight.
