I can’t afford to lose 10 IQ points. The findings of a study indicate that people who had severe cases of Covid-19 in the first wave of the pandemic are now showing cognitive decline years later, equivalent to losing 10 IQ points. This revelation hits close to home because I’ve experienced firsthand the cognitive fog and difficulty in remembering things after having had the virus myself.
