I am outraged and absolutely disgusted by the horrific actions of Jennifer Wenisch, a German woman who enslaved a 5-year-old Yazidi girl in Iraq and allowed her to die of thirst in the sun. This is not a case of simply “letting her die”, as the headlines seem to wrongly imply. This poor child, named Rania, was cruelly tortured and left to suffer an agonizing death at the hands of Wenisch and her husband, Taha Al-J., who was rightfully sentenced to life imprisonment for his heinous crimes. The fact that Wenisch only received a 14-year sentence is beyond comprehension.

As a resident of Wisconsin, the recent series of bomb threats faced by a middle school in our state has left me deeply disturbed. What is even more alarming is the connection these threats have to a TikTok account known as Libs of TikTok. This particular account has been identified as the source of numerous incidents where individuals or institutions mentioned in their posts subsequently received bomb threats or other forms of violent intimidation. It is appalling that such actions are being taken in response to mere social media posts.

The images of innocent children suffering from malnutrition and starvation in a world plagued by religious fanaticism and greed are truly gut-wrenching. As a parent of a child with cystic fibrosis, I can only imagine the pain and helplessness that the families of these children must be feeling. It hits even harder knowing that these kids have serious medical conditions that require specialized care and nourishment, which are simply not available in the Palestinian enclave.

Being invited to speak to students at Kent State University’s Turning Point USA Chapter about the importance of the Second Amendment seemed like an opportunity for Kyle Rittenhouse to share his perspective.
