Lauren Boebert recently found herself in the midst of controversy yet again, this time for attending Donald Trump’s trial but reportedly missing her son’s court appearances. When reflecting on this situation, it becomes glaringly obvious how misplaced her priorities are. As a mother, one would expect her to prioritize her son’s well-being and show up for his court dates, supporting him through whatever legal troubles he may be facing. However, it seems that her loyalty lies elsewhere, namely with Trump.
It is truly baffling to witness someone prioritize attending the trial of a corrupt politician over being present for their own child.… Continue reading
As I read yet another headline about the US stating that it won’t let Iran build a nuclear bomb, I can’t help but wonder if these statements are just a repeat of history. It seems like a lot of talk on both sides, with threats and promises being thrown around. The State Department recently declared that President Biden and Secretary of State Blinken will not allow Iran to possess a nuclear weapon. But how exactly do they plan on enforcing this statement?
It’s no secret that Israel and the US have sophisticated cyber operations, as demonstrated by the Stuxnet attack. These capabilities often go underestimated, leaving room for speculation about the extent of their intervention.… Continue reading
As I read about Judge Merchan being “visibly annoyed” by Trump’s courthouse entourage of Republican politicians, I couldn’t help but feel a mix of outrage and disbelief. The fact that these politicians, supposedly elected to serve their constituents and uphold the rule of law, are blatantly disregarding a gag order to support a criminal ex-president is beyond comprehension. It is a blatant display of intimidation and a mockery of the justice system.
The image of Trump waltzing into court with his gang of thugs, supported by his cronies who are supposed to be working for the people, is not only disrespectful to the judiciary but also to the American people.… Continue reading
As a Lakota graduate, the recent incident where a Lakota graduate’s plume was cut from her cap by the Farmington district is deeply disturbing. Graduation ceremonies are supposed to be joyful celebrations of one’s hard work and achievements, yet this act of disrespect and cruelty marred what should have been a moment of pride and honor for this young woman.
The school administrators’ actions in cutting off the culturally significant plume from the Lakota graduate’s cap signify a lack of respect for diversity and individuality. The excuse given of wanting students to look uniform is not only flimsy but also reeks of a power trip from those in authority.… Continue reading
Well, well, well. It seems like we can add “boats hitting bridges” to the list of bizarre incidents plaguing America. This time, a barge hit the Pelican Island Causeway, causing a portion to fall, according to officials. As if we didn’t have enough chaos in the world already.
This isn’t the first time we’ve seen such incidents. Lakes, canals, oceans – nothing seems to be safe from these colossal maritime mishaps. Just last year, we were all glued to our screens watching train derailments unfold. Now, it’s boats hitting bridges. Are we all collectively losing our grip on reality? It feels like we’re living in a bizarre simulation where the laws of physics no longer apply.… Continue reading
As the news of yet another American tourist being arrested in Turks and Caicos for possession of ammo floods the media, it’s hard not to shake my head at the sheer stupidity of these individuals. I mean, how difficult is it to check your luggage for stray ammunition before heading to another country? The fact that this is the fifth case in a single week is both baffling and concerning.
The fact that the first person to be caught with loose ammo in their luggage garnered attention and raised money is amusing, but it’s clear that subsequent offenders won’t receive the same sympathy or support.… Continue reading
I recently came across an article that left me utterly dumbfounded, as it showcased Aaron Rodgers praising Vladimir Putin as ‘smart’ in a Tucker Carlson interview. As someone who has followed Rodgers’ career and admired his skills on the field, I must admit that this revelation was truly disappointing.
In the realm of politics, it is no surprise that individuals have varying opinions and beliefs. However, to hear Rodgers laud Putin, a leader known for his authoritarian tactics, comes across as not only misguided but also concerning. The fact that someone with a platform as large as Rodgers would spout such praise for a figure like Putin is both perplexing and disheartening.… Continue reading
As I read about the recent allegations that emerged in court, claiming that Donald Trump was editing speeches for his loyalists to deliver outside the courtroom, I couldn’t help but shake my head in disbelief. The idea that a former President would stoop so low as to manipulate his supporters in such a manner is not only ethically questionable but also potentially criminal.
It’s no secret that Trump has always projected an image of control and authority. However, the extent to which he was allegedly micromanaging the words and actions of his followers is both disturbing and revealing. The reports of him directly editing speeches for his stooges to regurgitate verbatim only serve to reinforce the perception of him as an egomaniacal leader who demands unwavering loyalty at any cost.… Continue reading
As someone who has followed American politics closely over the years, I find myself utterly dismayed by the recent events surrounding Trump’s GOP ‘surrogates’ bashing a judge’s daughter. The level of audacity and lack of integrity displayed in these actions is truly appalling. It is a sad state of affairs when those in positions of power stoop to such despicable tactics to defend their leader.
The fact that these ‘surrogates’ are attacking the judge’s daughter, who has her own career as a Democratic consultant, is not only unprofessional but also dangerous. It is evident that their sole purpose is to undermine the judge and his family rather than upholding the principles of justice and fairness.… Continue reading
Boeing reached a $2.5 billion settlement with the Justice Department in January 2021 to avoid prosecution on a single charge of fraud. Imagine being a billion-dollar company and facing serious consequences for your actions, but then being able to pay your way out of trouble. It seems absurd that such a large corporation can essentially buy their way out of accountability for their role in the tragic crashes of the 737 Max aircraft.
The fact that the government agreed not to prosecute Boeing for defrauding the United States by deceiving regulators is troubling. Shouldn’t a company that puts profit over safety regulations and policies be held accountable for the loss of human lives resulting from their negligence?… Continue reading
