Trump warned about using campaign funds to pay E. Jean Carroll
Honestly, I never really gave it much thought before, but when I saw the headline about Trump potentially using campaign funds to pay off E. Jean Carroll, it didn’t surprise me at all. I mean, where else is he going to get the money? It’s not like he made his fortune through honest means. If he’s not grifting money from his supporters, he’s probably trying to get it from sources like the Kremlin again.
But the fact that Trump could potentially use campaign funds to hush someone he allegedly assaulted is just mind-boggling.… Continue reading
‘Oath-breaking insurrectionist’ Trump is ineligible for office, Colorado voters tell the Supreme Court
It’s a headline that many of us thought we would never see, but it seems that there may finally be some justice on the horizon. Colorado voters have taken a stand and told the Supreme Court that former President Donald Trump is ineligible for office due to his involvement in the insurrection that took place on January 6, 2021.
When I first heard the news, I couldn’t help but feel a sense of relief. Finally, someone is holding Trump accountable for his actions. The events of January 6 were a dark day in American history, and it is clear that Trump played a significant role in inciting the violence that unfolded at the Capitol.… Continue reading
The recent report suggesting that Trump falsified disclosures over a $48 million loan, potentially evading taxes, shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone who has been paying attention. The man seems to have made a habit out of evading taxes and engaging in fraudulent activities throughout his career. And yet, he continues to evade any real consequences for his actions.
It’s infuriating to see such blatant disregard for the law and a complete lack of accountability. If any ordinary citizen were to engage in tax evasion or falsify financial disclosures, they would undoubtedly face serious consequences. But when it comes to Trump, it seems like he’s always able to maneuver his way out of trouble.… Continue reading
Trump Must Pay $83.3 Million to E. Jean Carroll for Defamation
The recent ruling ordering Donald Trump to pay $83.3 million to E. Jean Carroll for defamation is a significant moment in the fight against sexual assault and the importance of accountability for public figures. The unanimous verdict by the jury not only sends a powerful message that no one is above the law but also highlights the need for victims to have their voices heard and believed.
The fact that Trump was found to have defamed Carroll follows a separate $5 million sexual abuse and defamation judgment issued against him last year.… Continue reading
John Fetterman greets protesters outside his home by waving Israeli flag
As I reflect deeply on the recent controversy surrounding John Fetterman greeting protesters outside his home by waving an Israeli flag, I find myself grappling with a range of emotions and conflicting thoughts. On one hand, I can understand the desire to show support for Israel, especially when tensions are high and protests are taking place. However, I cannot help but question the appropriateness and effectiveness of his actions.
Even if I were to take a pro-Israel stance, I would never stoop to the level of blatant and tasteless pandering that Fetterman displayed.… Continue reading
to be true. This kind of sensationalism only fuels the flames and adds to the polarization of opinions on this issue.
That being said, I do believe that the situation in Gaza is dire and that there needs to be a stronger international response to protect innocent civilians. The violence and loss of life cannot be ignored. It’s disheartening to see the lack of meaningful action taken by world leaders, including Joe Biden, to address this crisis.
As a Biden voter, I struggle with the fact that my chosen candidate seems to be turning a blind eye to the suffering of the Palestinian people.… Continue reading
Donald Trump Is Galactically Angry at Nikki Haley for the Funniest Reason – The former president is suddenly very much opposed to anyone who fails to accept an election loss
It’s absolutely hilarious how Donald Trump is seething with anger towards Nikki Haley for her supposed failure to accept an election loss. The irony in Trump’s outrage is so thick, you could cut it with a knife. After all, this is the same man who has been indicted twice for his refusal to accept defeat in the 2020 presidential election. It’s rich for him to preach about accepting losses when he himself is the epitome of a sore loser.… Continue reading
As news broke that E. Jean Carroll, the woman who accused Donald Trump of sexual assault, had won an $83.3 million defamation lawsuit against him, my mind couldn’t help but ponder what she planned to do with such a significant sum of money. It’s her money, and she deserves every penny, but the possibilities for doing something good with it are endless.
One suggestion that immediately came to mind was to fund private lab testing for rape kits to ensure that physical evidence of sexual assault is handled professionally and quickly. It is disheartening to know that rape kit backlogs still persist in many states, despite the availability of funding.… Continue reading
Colorado voters seeking to disqualify Trump from the ballot are making a bold and necessary move. As responsible and patriotic citizens, they are doing their civic duty to clean up the mess created by the former president. The stain on US history is not simply Trump’s presidency itself, but his actions that led to the events of January 6.
Many argue that the 14th Amendment should be invoked to bar Trump from running for office again. If the Supreme Court rules against him, it will send a strong message that the Constitution is not to be undermined for political gain. On the other hand, if they rule in his favor, it would confirm the perception that the court has become another political arm.… Continue reading
Boebert finishes fifth in straw poll of new district
Well, well, well, it seems like Boebert’s political career may be coming to an end sooner than she expected. In a recent straw poll of her new district, Boebert finished fifth among the five candidates. And let me tell you, it’s hard to take a straw poll seriously when it’s so hilariously tiny. She only received 12 votes from the debate attendees, which accounted for about 10 percent of the total.
Ahead of her were Logan County Commissioner Jerry Sonnenberg, former Colorado House Minority Leader Mike Lynch, Douglas County filmmaker Deborah Flora, and state House Minority Whip Richard Holtorf.… Continue reading
