As I read about the incident involving the teens who were wrongly accused of wearing blackface at an elite Catholic school, I can’t help but feel a sense of frustration and disbelief. These boys, identified as A.H. and H.H., were expelled from the school for a photo that was taken three years prior to the incident coming to light. I was at graduation. I didn’t know anything about what happened until today. I think most people were in the same boat. The speech was so bizarre, it sounded like what I always imagined the opening pitch for a cult or a MLM would be. There is zero information in this article beyond what is in the headline. I can’t even begin to imagine the chain of events that led to this tragic incident. A car crash in the woods off a Massachusetts highway, followed by a bear dragging the crash victim’s body from the scene. It’s the stuff of nightmares, really. The idea that someone could survive a car crash only to be met by a bear is just unfathomable.

The fact that he found up to 200 defects on parts is alarming, to say the least. It is concerning that he was met with resistance and nicknamed “showstopper” for simply trying to address the quality concerns he had identified. It is disheartening to think that someone who was trying to ensure the safety and quality of aircraft parts was met with such pushback.
