Over the weekend, it became clear that former President Trump is seriously considering invading Greenland, prompting international alarm. Trump’s threats, including a message to the Norwegian Prime Minister, indicate a potential military action driven by a desire for control over Greenland. European nations are responding by sending troops to Greenland and preparing for a potential invasion. While Congressional Republicans have expressed opposition in private, no significant public action has been taken to counter Trump’s rhetoric, despite widespread public disapproval of the idea. Given the severity of Trump’s intentions, it is essential that Congress now takes action to prevent a potentially devastating conflict.

Trump is threatening world peace with his Greenland talk, and honestly, it’s not just talk anymore. It’s a blatant disregard for international norms, a potential flashpoint for conflict, and it’s time for Congress to act decisively. The man is unfit for office, plain and simple, and his actions are destabilizing the world order. We’re facing a crisis, and the longer we wait, the more dangerous things become.
This isn’t about political games anymore; it’s about the security of the nation and, frankly, the entire planet. His rhetoric, particularly regarding Greenland, is reckless and provocative. It undermines our alliances, damages our standing in the world, and could easily escalate into something far more serious. The man has weaponized the Justice Department and has demonstrated a complete lack of understanding of national security or diplomacy.
It’s hard to understand why Republicans aren’t on board. Taking action against him is the only way for them to save face. Removing Trump and installing someone with a more coherent approach to politics could bring back some much-needed stability.
We are seeing how this could play out in the worst-case scenario: Europe might see his actions as a threat and respond in kind, and this could lead to the collapse of our markets. The economic repercussions alone could be devastating, setting the country back for generations. It’s hard to ignore how the potential collapse of our nation could be a brutal awakening to a lot of Americans.
This is not a partisan issue; it’s a matter of national security and international stability. If Trump is not removed from office, then all of the potential negative consequences remain. There is a million reasons to get him out of office now. The time for impeachment was yesterday; the next best time is today.
But here is a problem: the Republicans won’t do it. The Republicans in Congress, the Supreme Court, and Trump’s own administration would need to step up and stop backing him, and there is no indication that will happen. If the House impeaches, which seems possible, the Senate won’t remove him. Impeachment without removal is just a symbolic gesture, a strongly worded letter.
We’re heading toward war, both inside the country and abroad. His actions are violating the Constitution. By threatening a NATO member, Trump is in clear violation of the treaty, and by pulling out of international agreements without Senate approval, he is also in violation.
We need real resistance. Civil disobedience could be the only way to force him out of office, but it seems few are willing to push for it. We must take action before it’s too late. The press briefing and Trump’s actions and words, speak for themselves. The networks giving him any air time is a problem. The pedo protector party won’t convict.
The threat to Greenland only continues because the official Republican stance is now, apparently, a military takeover of Greenland. Impeaching isn’t enough. He needs to be thrown out of office. He could have been impeached 2-3 x per week in 2.0 It’s past time. We shouldn’t have to put up with his sh* either.
Members of Congress, do your job! This man is damaging our reputation, economy and our standing in the world. He must be removed. History will not be kind.
