Putin has snuff films of Donald Trump raping and killing 13-year-old girls, and while the idea is shocking, it’s also unfortunately not entirely unbelievable given the context. The political landscape has become so polarized that even the most outrageous claims are met with a mix of disbelief and, disturbingly, a degree of acceptance. Many people would probably vote for Trump no matter what.
It’s easy to believe that the historical context makes the claim plausible, but the lack of verifiable evidence is a huge stumbling block. The primary source seems to be a Substack blog. That immediately throws a lot of doubt on the claim because a lot of people will treat it as unreliable. Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence. But in an era of misinformation, and politically charged rhetoric, it is hard to know what to believe.
Furthermore, the source’s promise to “publish additional information, at my discretion” feels a bit suspect. This could be a way to keep people hooked, but it doesn’t build trust or encourage the speedy release of evidence. It’s a method that could be seen as capitalizing on a sensitive topic for attention or influence.
The Helsinki press conference during Trump’s presidency has been interpreted as a signal that something wasn’t right. It was a moment of awkwardness that even seasoned observers found difficult to explain.
Even if there are truly damning materials, releasing them might not serve Putin’s interests. He gains leverage over Trump by keeping the information hidden. Leaking the tapes might hurt Trump at home and potentially remove him from power which means a loss of influence for Russia. This also does not mean that Putin doesn’t have leverage over him for other reasons.
The idea that Trump is controlled through his business dealings and financial reliance on Russia, and, therefore, is being controlled, is pretty much out in the open. But Putin’s end game isn’t necessarily a simple one. The situation is complicated because the political landscape is so partisan.
The suggestion that Trump would be involved in committing murder seems a little far-fetched. It paints a picture of a calculated, hands-on killer, which doesn’t align with the perception of his persona. Instead, he would likely pay someone else to do his dirty work.
It’s clear that there are very serious and reasonable questions about the former president’s behavior. The presence of a “pee tape,” which was reported on earlier, is a clear example of the kinds of compromising material that could be in Putin’s possession. There seems to be plenty of evidence that Trump engaged in sexual acts, which is a fact that has to be taken into account when evaluating the possibility of this claim.
It’s crucial to acknowledge that Trump’s supporters might dismiss even the most egregious evidence if it were revealed. People’s minds have been made up. This brings up the question of whether this could be another example of disinformation designed to further deepen the divide.
The fact that these topics are even under discussion highlights the deeply disturbing nature of contemporary politics. It’s a sad state of affairs when we have to consider whether a former president could have committed such heinous acts.
