Jack Smith, the former special counsel, testified before the House Judiciary Committee, defending the investigations into Donald Trump and rejecting accusations of political motivations. Smith asserted that Trump was the “most culpable and most responsible person” for the January 6th Capitol riot, emphasizing that the event would not have occurred without Trump’s actions. The deposition revealed that Smith’s case relied heavily on evidence from Republican allies and supporters, highlighting Trump’s role in inciting the riot and his subsequent refusal to quell the violence. Smith also defended the acquisition of phone records of GOP lawmakers, arguing that accountability should lie with Trump.

The statement that the January 6th attack “does not happen” without Trump is, frankly, something that should be self-evident to everyone. It’s almost hard to believe it even needs to be stated, but here we are. We all watched him, on television and through various media outlets, essentially direct his supporters to march on the Capitol. It wasn’t some spontaneous gathering; they were there because he told them to go, to protest the very process underway inside. This was his insurrection, albeit a poorly executed one. It felt like he was testing the waters, unsure of the depth, with one foot in and one foot out, hoping to incite something without fully committing. He seemed to want others to do the dirty work, then swoop in and claim victory. The exact outcome he was hoping for is unclear, but the fact that it was shut down is a good thing. If things had escalated further, it could have been far worse. However, the severity of the situation is undeniably due to him. He orchestrated a march on the Capitol with the intention of stopping Congress “by any means necessary.”

The evidence makes it abundantly clear that Trump bears the greatest responsibility for this conspiracy. It was his goal, and the attack on the Capitol served his interests. The other participants were acting on his behalf. How anyone can honestly deny this is beyond me. Trump was the central figure, the driving force. He clearly wanted them to succeed in stopping the certification of the election results. He wanted to overthrow the government and reclaim power. To call him anything less than a traitor is disingenuous. He should have been barred from ever running again after that, and the fact that we’ve given him a second chance is a profound error in judgment. Did he not learn from his failures? Of course, he learned, and it’s foolish to think he wouldn’t adjust his methods. The MAGA hats and banners weren’t a coincidence. It’s an inexcusable act, and he was never put in prison for this. People need to wake up!

Furthermore, the attack was not only the work of Trump, but also his supporters and enablers. Without the financial support of the Republican National Committee (RNC), the elected officials who spread Trump’s lies, and the right-wing media outlets that amplified them, the events of January 6th would not have occurred. He tried to stir up his base from the moment he took office, but now, some people are finally recognizing the phony he is. The riot was terrible, but the real crime was the false elector scheme, an attempt to invalidate millions of votes. The BBC highlighted the contrast between Trump’s initial rhetoric and the outcome. Trump, in essence, invoked a passion and frenzy in people, a dangerous contrast that is unpredictable.

The fact that he had to be repeatedly urged by his staff to act and quell the violence is mind-boggling. He had sent signals to his supporters and to groups like the Proud Boys for months before January 6th. The “stand back and stand by” comment was a clear signal to them. The supporters fell deeper into the cult’s movement, and the “stand back and stand by” proud boys loved what he told them. Ever since Trump ran his mouth in 2016, we have no longer had a decent country. He led an insurrection and now wants to rewrite history. His reward to his insurrectionists was a full pardon. These people are the fascists army now running amok in ICE.

It’s evident Trump hates America and only loves himself. How many busloads did Turning Point USA sponsor? Anyone who disagrees is in serious denial. The MAGA movement is too far gone. And to punish him for this crime against our nation, we not only let him get away with it, we made him President again… us Americans are f-ing dumbasses. This is not even a question; he attempted to overturn an election he lost, convincing his base it was stolen. The GOP, as a whole, covered for him, and the MAGA base won’t care. They know Trump caused it, they lie to us pretending they don’t support it, and would love for Trump to do it again. Should the left start investigating Merrick Garland? He seems responsible for slowing down the investigation allowing Trump time to get elected.

The claim that the individuals wearing MAGA hats and waving MAGA banners were actually ANTIFA is a laughable attempt at misdirection. Trump issued the invitations. There were no prime-time news conferences or medal ceremonies for the dozens of D.C. police officers who went to the hospital that “great day.” Instead, we saw a condoning of the assault on those same officers, followed by a call for the violent mob to go home. It’s a dangerous hypocrisy, akin to voting against a spending bill that creates jobs in their own districts and then taking credit for those jobs at a ribbon-cutting ceremony. Trump has been putting people’s lives in danger since 2015. It’s a disgrace. They all got off way too easy for this.

Trump is a full-time traitor and a lifetime fraud. There is no level of hell that is too much for him. This headline means nothing because, sadly, many don’t care. At this point, you could present definitive proof that Trump paid people to riot, and it wouldn’t change anything. January 6th is a closed chapter for half the country, a chapter they never felt bad about and never will.

It’s a matter of causality and effect. Trump is the cause. The people went to the Capitol because he instructed them to do so at a rally, falsely claiming the election was stolen. Who else would the attack have been for? Biden won the election. There weren’t any Democrat voters at J6. They were there, committing illegal acts, at the behest of Trump, who told them they should fight to prevent the certification. It’s simple. Trump had his part in it. He demanded the mag strips be taken out to get real weapons onsite. He HAD to have.

Trump pushed the lies and his people followed. He was the primary organizer. He should die in prison for his treasons against the country. The US justice system is a joke. Trump needs to be in jail for treason, and many of his supporters do too. It’s a shame that definitive proof is being offered so late in the process.
