The juxtaposition of “peace” with the inclusion of a country like Belarus, ruled by an authoritarian leader with close ties to Russia, is, frankly, laughable. It’s a bit like naming a group “Truth Social” and then dealing in anything but the truth. The headline “Belarus joins Legion of Doom” would be a more apt description of this scenario.
The immediate reaction is a raised eyebrow – or perhaps both eyebrows simultaneously, shooting skyward in sheer disbelief. This is not the type of organization that typically champions diplomacy or global harmony. It’s hard to imagine anything of genuine benefit coming from such an alliance. The cynicism practically oozes from every pore of this supposed board, which seems to be more about self-serving agendas and cozying up to individuals who share a similar world view.
Considering the individuals involved, it seems less like a legitimate board and more like a collection of people with the common goal of working for private corporate interests.
