The United States has appointed a special envoy to Greenland, reigniting tensions with Denmark. President Trump stated the U.S. needs Greenland for “national protection,” prompting a strong rebuke from Copenhagen. Denmark plans to seek an explanation from the U.S. ambassador, while Greenland’s prime minister emphasized the island’s right to self-determination and territorial integrity.

Trump naming an envoy to Greenland would be, frankly, a bizarre move, almost as if he’s appointing someone to represent the US in the Navajo Nation. It just doesn’t make any sense. And who’s even footing the bill for this whole charade?
The appointee, Jeff Landry, immediately responded on social media, essentially saying it’s an honor to serve Trump by trying to make Greenland part of the U.S. This is clearly not about goodwill or any sort of altruistic endeavor. It’s an open attempt to push for annexation of Greenland.
Of course, Denmark objects. Anyone with half a brain would expect them to. It’s almost comical how predictable this is. Honestly, it’s a bit annoying that the US is getting involved, it seems to be just to cause conflict.
Now, the people Trump appoints are typically those who are completely subservient to him, and often this means they are not exactly the sharpest tools in the shed. I mean, look at some of the people he’s put in power – it doesn’t exactly inspire confidence. Greenland would be wise to just deny Landry a visa. No entry, period. They could also simply state that they no longer require an envoy from the U.S. This whole thing feels like a distraction.
There’s talk of Trump wanting to start a war with anyone who tries to stop him, maybe to postpone the elections in 2026. This would allow him to suspend the elections altogether. And here we are again.
And what about Denmark? There’s literally no benefit for the US to antagonize a country like Denmark, of all countries. Some Americans even have Danish roots! What is the purpose? It’s just Trump’s way of putting his name on something, like some sort of bizarre branding exercise. I wouldn’t be surprised if some low-level staffer had to create a map with “Trumpland” instead of Greenland, just for the aesthetic. The guy should be in a mental ward, not the White House. Greenland would do well to tell him to stay at his embassy and deny him access.
“Fuck off back to the US,” is the appropriate message. They should deliver the US president a swift kick in the little balls. Problem solved.
Canada is on Greenland’s side. And then there’s that whole thing about the Epstein files resurfacing. It just doesn’t stop. Is it really that hard not to be a… well, you know. I wonder if Denmark can simply declare him “persona non grata” and refuse him entry.
Greenland always seems to pop up when Trump needs a distraction from the Epstein files. Maybe other countries should annex some U.S. states. The poor blue states don’t deserve this. Free them.
It’s as if you can just declare you want another country’s land, and it’s suddenly yours. This feels like the kind of thing that comes from that whole “Pee tapes” situation. Wait, though, what does this have to do with the Epstein files? It’s all a backburner thing. It’s likely Landry, the envoy, is using this to try and get some attention and set himself up for future political runs.
Dear America, please stay away from Greenland. Sincerely, Denmark. It’s like the advisors are saying the public isn’t buying the redacted Epstein list, so Trump pulls out the “big guns” – the Greenland or Panama gambit.
Trump is at it again with his master diplomat skill. When will people realize that the US is no longer an ally? Most presidents seem to have that issue. Greenland and Denmark should set up a special defense agreement with Canada and invite them to have a base on the island. Denmark, just don’t let them in! Persona non grata. Someone on Fox probably told him to do it. It’s all about distractions from Epstein.
Oh, it’s time to shake things up again. Maybe spook the global stock markets to generate some insider trading opportunities for Trump’s chums. He’s a dementia-ridden sociopath, you know? It’s always deflection, misdirection, redirection, change the narrative, distraction, diversion, hindrance, subversion, confusion, and entertainment. And we always take the bait. There’s no substance or value, just another day.
The BBC calling this a “row” is just… ridiculous. It’s an act of aggression, not a polite disagreement. And if the US really tried to invade, it might be the start of something serious. “They have a small population?” So we’re gonna take it? And the fact that envoys need to be accepted by the host country, which Denmark hasn’t and won’t do, means this is nothing but a publicity stunt.
So, he’s just some guy, not a “special envoy.” Denmark probably won’t even let him on their territory. I’d ban him for life if I were them for agreeing to this. Then maybe let him in later if he apologizes and Trump isn’t in power anymore. The Epstein files, as we know, are full of Trump, right? We should probably put all people who rape children in prison, right? Epstein Files. Trump is a child rapist. He needs to go NOW. Don’t get sidetracked by this garbage people. We already have a consulate in Nuuk since 2020. The problem with this is that the envoy is there for the express purpose of promoting American annexation.
