Following the death of Rob Reiner and his wife, President Trump responded with controversial comments, claiming the slain director was “deranged” and “bad for our country,” further emphasizing his disapproval of Reiner’s criticism. Despite facing backlash, Trump refused to retract these statements. Reiner and his wife were found dead at their home, with their son, Nick, arrested on suspicion of murder. The investigation is ongoing, however, reports suggest that a loud argument occurred between them at a Christmas party. Trump’s remarks were met with condemnation from both Republicans and his own supporters.

Trump Doubles Down on Despicable Slur on ‘Deranged’ Rob Reiner. It’s hard to know where to begin, really. The sheer audacity, the complete lack of empathy, the unapologetic cruelty – it’s a lot to take in, and it’s something we’ve unfortunately become accustomed to.
The president’s comments about himself in the third person are almost as predictable as the rising sun. It’s a hallmark of a certain kind of personality, one that views the world through the lens of a “main character” and sees everyone else as mere supporting cast, or worse, just NPCs.
Where are the voices that demand a toning down of rhetoric from the right? Where are the proponents of “sanctity of life” and “family values” now? The silence is deafening, and it speaks volumes about the selective morality at play.
It’s actually bizarre, and perhaps a sign of something deeper, that Trump hasn’t even mentioned that Reiner’s wife did the photoshoot for his book, “The Art of the Deal.” Perhaps it’s a fleeting moment of self-awareness. Trump’s actions often suggest sociopathic or narcissistic tendencies; likely the latter because those two things share a number of similarities.
Here’s a simple request, Mr. President: please just *shut the fuck up*. Remember a time when the president was expected to set an example for how to act? This behavior is becoming the norm for children growing up in MAGA households. It’s truly disheartening.
It seems President Donald Trump has decided to double down on his heartless response to the murder of Rob Reiner. He’s insisting the director was “deranged” and “bad for our country”.
Despite the backlash, despite the outrage, despite the basic human decency that should compel someone to show a shred of compassion in the face of death, Trump has refused to back away from his comments when asked about them.
“Well, I wasn’t a fan of his at all. He was a deranged person as far as Trump is concerned,” he declared, without a hint of remorse or even a moment of reflection.
It is infuriating. It feels impossible to avoid the conclusion that Trump is literally saying, with no pretext whatsoever, that a man who was brutally and viciously murdered somehow deserved it because he dared to criticize him.
It’s some of the worst, most unhinged things he’s ever said. Why did/does anyone think “TDS” is any less of a projection than anything else that comes out of the right? “Every accusation is a confession” is a concept that seems lost on many.
Let’s be clear: Trump is deranged. His followers are deranged. It’s why they have been so intent on using the acronym against others. The image of the President of the United States taking time out of his day, to talk shit about you when you die, simply because you weren’t a supporter… is a disturbing reality.
It’s a reflection of the normalization of vile behavior among Republicans. If Reiner was truly deranged, then his criticism of Trump wouldn’t be evidence of malice or conspiracy; it would be a sign of error, confusion, or illness. And even then, the proper response would be dismissal or pity. You don’t get angry at a malfunctioning compass.
By insisting Reiner is both crazy and morally culpable, Trump is trying to have it both ways. You can’t treat someone as irrational while simultaneously holding them responsible for a calculated attack.
He is subhuman. He is happy for us to be talking about this, because it deflects from things that are far more damaging to him. The cratering economy, the allegations of child rape, the pervasive corruption… the list goes on. I think we all know who the deranged one is.
He is, in short, a disgrace. He finds new lows every day, and it’s frankly exhausting. He finds new ways to sink to the bottom of the cesspool, and there’s no end in sight.
He’s also going out of his way to try and make people forget about his connections to Jeffrey Epstein, connections that are splashed across the Epstein files and have necessitated the involvement of hundreds of FBI agents.
This is a man who thrives on hate. He seems intent on escalating it to new levels. “Can the president be presidential?” At this point, it’s a question that’s almost too much to bear. Disgusting, but not unexpected.
How much longer are we going to have to endure this deranged, psychotic asshole?
It’s an accurate description of Trump. “Projection” is the clinical term for when someone denies the bad things they do/are, and instead accuses others of those things. Trump does it constantly. Conservatives have no respect for human life, any life really. Has he ever apologized for anything? I mean literally ever, have you ever heard that from him?
Of course not; he’s a sociopath surrounded by bootlickers. They are surely high-fiving each other in the Oval Office right now. Zero guilt, zero shame.
He is a sociopath, a modern-day Archie Bunker. The truly sickening part is that so many of Trump’s supporters not only accept this behavior but actively cheer it on, or worse, lie about their support for it. We’re talking about millions of people whose lives have been deeply distorted and broken.
The Epstein Files are due any day now. Trump is the pro-wrestling villain of presidents, relishing in the drama and controversy he creates. This is just another example of how this man has zero empathy for anyone but himself and signals a broader mental disorder that affects everything he does. If this doesn’t convince you this man has no business running the country, then you’re probably the kind of person that cheers on ICE. Rob Reiner was not the picture of mental health that Donald Trump is!
The man is a sundowning old man and has no business being near the levers of power, nor do his sycophants. It’s safe to say neither does much of Congress or the Supreme Court.
“It wasn’t stupid enough, I gotta crank the stupid to 12!” The American president believes you deserve to die if you don’t kiss his ass.
One day Trump will die, and the world will be better off for it. This is what happens when you have malignant narcissism and self-loathing, combined with rapidly progressive dementia.
There are many vile people in power around the world, but I’d say nobody tops Trump. He doesn’t just use a slur; he celebrates a murder. And what is being distracted from, as he incites (true) claims of his derangement?
MAGAts everywhere have heard of TDS. None of the actually know what it is. Hopefully they will eventually seek treatment for it.
He is, at heart, a hypocrite who thrives on creating drama. He lashes out, blames others, and then cries foul when he’s criticized.
Consider the fact that he thinks it’s absolutely reasonable and even expected for people who criticize him to be murdered. Because he knows full well he signals this to his supporters and many have or will go to those extremes to “defend” him.
“The Russia hoax, he was one of the people behind it. I think he hurt himself career-wise; he became like a deranged person—Trump Derangement Syndrome—so I was not a fan of Rob Reiner at all in any way, shape, or form. I thought he was very bad for our country.”
JFC. Dusting off the greatest hits to justify his hatred. Trump is the true essence and a mirror of the real maga. No amount of god shields will hide the evil.
