Let’s cut right to the chase: The entire premise of Elon Musk’s involvement in the government, particularly concerning Social Security, has been repeatedly debunked. There were never any actual fraud charges. It’s almost as if the initial claims, the ones that propelled this narrative, were just that: claims. The media should have challenged these bogus claims from the start, but alas, here we are. It’s time to state the obvious: nothing Musk did held up to even a modicum of scrutiny.
The underlying motivations for such actions are also suspect. Why does a billionaire, or indeed, the ultra-wealthy, even care about perceived fraud in Social Security, beyond a potential power grab? They’re not the ones directly relying on it. Some people will go to any length to portray themselves as a savior when they have malicious intent. The whole thing was just a smoke screen to deflect attention away from his own shady dealings. It appears the entire exercise was designed to cover his tracks and steal our data.
The fact is, the contractor side of the equation is where the real fraud, waste, and abuse were allowed to run rampant. Instead of fixing problems, Musk seemed more interested in removing oversight and doing whatever he wanted. This is not about efficiency. He lacks the fundamental knowledge of how to improve governmental operations. Musk is more of a capital injector. The actions taken, and the consequences of those actions, reveal the truth. The media’s complicity in all of this is astounding.
The initial goal was to get rid of agencies that prosecute fraud, waste, and abuse. He then proceeded to cripple several government agencies. All of this while amassing a large amount of private data, and likely creating vulnerabilities. If we focus on the actions, the narrative becomes crystal clear. It wasn’t about savings. It was about accumulating power. It’s about a high score. It’s all about control. The tech bro and billionaire mentality is evident: grab the data, avoid taxes, and make more money.
In reality, the actions taken were a catastrophe. DOGE fired people, including those responsible for the nation’s nuclear weapons programs, and also canceled programs that had nothing to do with DEI. Furthermore, they drastically over estimated savings on ICE contracts. The result was a dramatic miscalculation of savings, and an inability to understand the nuances of government operations. The real savings were non-existent.
Musk’s claim that millions of dead people are drawing Social Security was just a misunderstanding of how the system works. It was shown that audits were indeed being conducted. DOGE was forced to walk back their most significant spending cuts because these cuts never actually happened. Despite promises of budget fixes, the deficit continued to soar, reaching record levels. As errors mounted, Musk was forced to admit he was in over his head.
And the story keeps getting worse. DOGE lost money and implemented measures that brought on costs. Agencies that had fired people under DOGE’s directives were forced to rehire thousands of employees. Throughout this, Musk’s companies continued to secure deals with the government. This is a very clear pattern of conflict of interest and potential manipulation.
The whole thing was a performance, a carefully orchestrated show designed to mislead and deflect. The notion that the DOGE itself was a powerless organization is laughable, given how its recommendations were treated as orders. The cuts and the recommendations were implemented by department heads, not DOGE. This isn’t just a failure; it’s a deliberate misdirection and a blatant abuse of power. The evidence speaks for itself, and it decisively undermines the claims of fraud and waste that were used to justify this whole ordeal. It is nothing more than a carefully constructed facade.
