It’s hard to see how this serves anyone’s interests except those of Russia, who would undoubtedly love to see a fractured and weakened Europe. The implications are significant, potentially destabilizing the entire region and emboldening those who actively seek to undermine the West. It raises immediate questions about the motivations behind such a strategy and who benefits the most.
The apparent proposal to back groups advocating for “sovereignty” and a “traditional European way of life,” as long as they remained pro-American, is particularly concerning. It’s like a subtle invitation to dismantle the very alliances and frameworks that have provided decades of stability and economic growth. Furthermore, how would a US strategy that actively undermines its allies and supports those that are potentially working in the interests of those nations at war with the West?

The US has historically been a key player in the European project, fostering peace and stability. The fact that the USA would consider breaking up those alliances is a real head-scratcher.

The European Union has provided decades of stability and economic growth, which has allowed countries like Poland to flourish.
