The wealthy are doing just fine, thank you very much. Meanwhile, the working class continues to struggle, and under the Trump administration, it seems like the gap is only widening. It’s like watching a movie where you already know the ending, but you’re forced to sit through it anyway. The script is predictable: the rich get richer, and everyone else is left to pick up the pieces.
The Republicans, it seems, have a very clear agenda, one that prioritizes the financial well-being of the elite. Tax cuts for billionaires, while simultaneously cutting healthcare benefits for the majority? It’s a classic move, and it’s a playbook they’ve used before. The lengths they’ve gone to, like shutting down the government to increase healthcare costs for the working class, or fighting to prevent SNAP benefits from being paid during a shutdown, speak volumes. They’re not shy about who they’re working for. The message is clear: They don’t have your back.
The rhetoric is always the same. Trump’s camp will cherry-pick a positive GDP number and declare the economy is booming. However, they’ll conveniently leave out the details: stagnant wages, soaring prices, and a working class that’s barely keeping their heads above water. It’s nothing more than a carefully crafted narrative, designed to distract from the reality on the ground. Flashy headlines, massive giveaways to the wealthy, and no real accountability for the struggles of everyday families. It’s a scam, plain and simple.
The truth is, this is how it’s designed to work. It’s not just a Trump issue; it’s a fundamental problem with the system itself, a system that prioritizes the accumulation of wealth above all else. This is the trickle-down economics at play. While they’re saying “Merry Christmas, everybody,” the reality is, it’s not for everyone. The working class is often left out in the cold. It’s not a secret; it’s the plan.
And yet, there’s still the surprise expressed by so many. “Who could have foreseen this?” they ask. Well, anyone who’s been paying attention. It’s been the same story for decades. The rich get richer, and the working class struggles. It’s a K-shaped economy where the top is soaring while the bottom is scraping along the bottom. The rich will keep getting more and more and the working class will keep getting less and less, it’s just the nature of the economic system.
They are trying to get the public to blame immigrants for stealing jobs and resources. Meanwhile, they fail to mention that the wealthy are the ones truly benefiting from the current economic structure. They have brainwashed the public to the point where they believe the propaganda and are happy to vote for the people that support these practices. This is literally supply-side economics in action.
And what about those who speak out against this? Well, they’re often painted as socialists, or accused of wanting to “steal” from the wealthy. The very people benefiting from the system will try to convince you that those who speak out are the problem. Meanwhile, the talking heads on the major media outlets, making millions, continue to repeat the same lines, perpetuating the cycle. The economy is a casino, and the house always wins.
The fact that Trump’s tax cuts only exacerbated the problem is the most depressing part. There was data showing it wouldn’t help after his first tax bill. Yet, it happened anyway. So, who’s surprised? It’s all part of the plan. And the working class? They’re left to suffer.
