The fact that the names of any women appearing in the photos were redacted out of caution. The fact that these crimes occurred on a US Virgin Island, a place that Epstein could have picked anywhere in the world to abuse children, is extremely disturbing. It highlights the location as a sanctuary, far from the prying eyes of the public.
It’s completely understandable that people are impatient, wondering why the full story isn’t being revealed immediately. The slow drip of information can be frustrating. Where are the unredacted files? Why are certain words on the blackboard censored? The desire for complete transparency is natural, especially when dealing with such serious allegations.
Perhaps the images released by the Oversight Committee were released to make a statement to the FBI and put pressure on them not to redact heavily. Democrats are playing by the rules, releasing what they can legally, because releasing something illegally hands the opposition a gift. There is legal and political maneuvering that is necessary. We need to remember that even if there is strong suspicion, it doesn’t automatically equate to proof beyond a reasonable doubt. The evidence might exist, but not enough to convict someone of a crime.
