The normalization of this kind of behavior is, quite frankly, terrifying. We deserve leaders who can handle basic accountability, who don’t resort to name-calling and insults when they’re challenged. This pattern of behavior is getting old, and his conduct is simply unbecoming for anyone, let alone the leader of a nation.
The reaction, and the rage, seems so unnecessary. It brings up questions of cognitive decline, or perhaps just a deep-seated insecurity. It’s truly a mystery how someone who seems to embody so many negative traits could have risen to such a position of power. It makes me worry about the kind of world we’re leaving for our children.
The lack of reaction from other reporters, the silence that follows these outbursts, is also concerning. When is someone going to step up and tell him this isn’t okay? It seems like he’s beyond redemption, trapped in a depth of negativity that most people can’t even imagine. It’s time for this to stop, and it’s time for the media to stop allowing him to respond this way. Challenge him when he insults, let this escalate naturally to expose him so there can be no question he needs to go.

Every single American, regardless of their political affiliation, has to grapple with the fact that this is the face we present to the world. It’s hard to say, but it’s clear that he struggles to cope when people don’t accept him as the “stable genius” he claims to be.
