The man has a long and consistent history of lashing out, and this time, the target was a New York Times story that dared to suggest he might be showing “signs of fatigue.” The article, penned by Katie Rogers and Dylan Freedman, pointed out the difficulty Trump seems to be having maintaining his usual “round-the-clock energy, virility, and physical stamina.” The response? A lengthy, unhinged rant on his Truth Social platform, packed with the usual tropes and predictable insults.
The first thing that jumps out is his absolute inability to handle criticism. Instead of addressing the points raised in the article, he immediately pivots to personal attacks, specifically targeting the female reporter, Katie Rogers. The man’s go-to move when confronted with anything remotely critical is to resort to name-calling, and in this instance, he deemed Rogers “ugly, both inside and out.” It’s a classic example of projecting, deflecting, and trying to diminish the argument by focusing on the perceived physical flaws of the person making it.
