It’s not exactly breaking news that the two were acquainted, even friends, but the frequency and context of these mentions are what we’re now trying to fully understand. In one email in particular, dated April 2, 2011, Epstein seems to be alluding to Trump in a somewhat cryptic manner. He writes to Ghislaine Maxwell, “i want you to realize that that dog that hasn’t barked is trump.. (REDACTED) spent hours at my house with him ,, he has never once been mentioned. police chief. etc. im 75 % there.” Now, what exactly that “dog that hasn’t barked” refers to is open to interpretation, but the clear implication is that Trump was somehow protected, that his name wasn’t being brought up. The rest of the email is redacted, adding to the air of mystery. It leaves a lot to the imagination, doesn’t it?
The nature of their relationship and the things that they did in their social circles has always been a subject of speculation. The latest revelations are, perhaps, not the bombshell some might have hoped for, but they are further confirmation of the connection. We’re not talking about a casual acquaintance here.
