It’s a pattern that’s become depressingly familiar. One minute, there’s a show of support, perhaps a few Tomahawks offered, and the next, a complete reversal, siding with the aggressor. It’s almost as if the playbook is set, with pre-determined stages that lead to this inevitable outcome.
The consequences of these actions are far-reaching and incredibly damaging, especially for the people of Ukraine. It puts the nation in an incredibly vulnerable position, forcing them to beg for resources while dealing with the reality of an aerial bombing campaign. Zelenskyy’s plea for more Patriot air defense systems is completely understandable; it’s a desperate cry for protection in the face of relentless attacks. Given the existing circumstances with the current state of defense, it is quite concerning. The current state is quite dire with a massive increase in the desire for the AA systems, showing how intense the fight has been. The urgency of this need cannot be overstated.
