The meeting included inflammatory statements, such as the Attorney General’s intent to “take down the organization brick by brick,” and claims that Antifa infiltrates the country. Participants also made outlandish accusations, like the idea that anti-Trump protesters’ signs were made with expensive paper and that Antifa is equivalent to terrorist organizations. This event, which included bizarre claims and conspiracy theories, underscored a shift toward treating politics as “fan fiction” and manufacturing imaginary enemies. Trump just hosted an ‘Antifa roundtable’ at the White House… it’s worse than you’re imagining. The energy surrounding this whole charade is just… unbelievable. I mean, you had Brandi Kruse, right? The influencer who now claims to be happier and more attractive since she “changed sides.” It’s just bizarre. Growing up in a military family, you’re raised with a deep sense of patriotism, but this is on another level. My dad would be turning in his grave. I’m honestly fighting the urge to just… gag.
The situation is dire, but there’s something to be said for how Portlanders are responding. The silliness, the costumes, the dancing… It’s a brilliant counter-narrative to the lies being spun by the right. They’re trying to paint a picture of Portland burning down, but the reality is far more… absurd. They can’t handle the fact that some protestors are dressing up in costumes. ICE got triggered by a frog suit.
The contrast is key. One side is making a nuisance of themselves. The other is trying to convince everyone that the guy in the frog costume is some kind of threat.
Then, there’s Jack Posobiec. Remember Pizzagate? He’s spreading the notion that Antifa goes back almost 100 years to the Weimar Republic! Seriously? It’s just mind-boggling. The fact that they are trying to create an image of Antifa. It’s like a bad conspiracy theory that they are trying to take seriously. If you’re anti-anti-fa, are you pro-fa? The Deep State is replaced by the fear of Antifa, so that the administration has a reason to do shady stuff.
They are also going on and on about this “homeless industrial complex” and its ties to Antifa. The journalist who works at The Independent deserves a shout out.
The quotes from the article are pure gold. Pam Bondi, promising to “take down the organization brick by brick.” Kristi Noem, the puppy killer, declaring that Antifa wants to “destroy the American people.” They are literally lying through their teeth.
Honestly, the level of illiteracy and stupidity is staggering. And anyone with a shred of knowledge knew Trump was corrupt. Antifa becomes the perfect scapegoat, because it can never be defeated. It’s a convenient boogeyman. The Attorney General says they’re going to start bombing “Antifa.” I don’t even know what to say. I’m just so damn glad that these people are admitting they are pro fascist and being too fucking dumb to realize it.
The constant ass-kissing was almost physically sickening. I literally felt nauseated. This is Trump’s Ministry of Propaganda and Public Enlightenment in action. They are also considering invoking the insurrection act. But, I think that the best thing to do is to fight back peacefully, satirically, by flipping his image on him. It might even show the right wing people that he is not on their side either, just his own. It’s never a round table to address the housing crisis, the healthcare crisis, the cost of living crisis, the inflation crisis, the insurance crisis, etc etc. This dude thrives on hating people. Kristi Noem praised for ‘staring down’ Antifa. It was a dozen reporters and a guy in a chicken suit.
And, of course, they are declaring the DSA a terrorist organization.
They are trying to position themselves as the good guys while aligning themselves with the Nazis. It’s just an echo chamber of demented, evil minds.
If they are against Antifa, then that means they are for fascism. They are getting ready for the No Kings protests October 18. The US is completely fucked and it seems only a civil war will sort it out.
