I don’t think this is just a Nato thing but an Eastern European thing of “lets not get steamrolled by our bigger neighbors (again)”. Make an example of them that will withstand the test of time for all descendants of this world. The actions taken against Russia should serve as a deterrent. The message must be clear and unequivocal: aggression will not be tolerated.
