It seems even he can see the internal conflict, though perhaps he’s only now admitting it publicly. The core of the issue? The fight over vaccines. The former president is caught between the pull of his base and, presumably, some semblance of reality. He is now starting to lose faith in the vaccine programs, despite his public embrace of them in the past.
The details are unsettling, to say the least. There’s talk of pulling the vaccine and demands for drug companies to justify their use. This is where the situation gets really strange. It’s a case of political theater, and it’s creating chaos within his inner circle. The photo of RFK Jr. perfectly encapsulates the problem. This whole thing is a symptom of a larger issue. His choices, bringing in anti-vaxxers, for instance, is not based on reality.
It’s clear that Trump is attempting to appease various factions within his support base. He’s playing a dangerous game, with potential consequences. If the shots are banned here in the USA and are being given in the EU, that would really be a true test of the vaccines’ effectiveness.
There are many questions, and a lot of frustration, that all add to the fact that he brought in someone who wants to dismantle government institutions and that is what MAGA wants. Trump brought in RFK Jr., who he expected to simply play the role of “good MAGA soldier” on key issues such as abortion, Medicare, and trans rights. Trump is also about economics and how he’s viewed internationally, and if this vaccine focus threatens his standing, Kennedy is going to find himself cast out.
The situation is complicated by the fact that some of those who oppose these views are those who understand the simple science and proven facts. This is about science and not about Trump’s faith. He should focus on science and perhaps listen to what experts have to say. He’s demanding charts and proof that the drug companies’ vaccines work, which they have already done in the form of scientific papers.
It’s just more chaos and distraction, with all these allegations of child rape. The administration is going to be one of the biggest bands of losers and idiots EVER. He should do something useful. It is clear, based on the facts, that science isn’t inherently political, but science is the world in which we live. Trump looks like he could use a vaccine, it should have been apparent a long time ago.
