GOP Senators Signal Displeasure with Kennedy, But Will They Act?

GOP senators signal to Trump that Kennedy is on thin ice – is that really what’s happening here? It seems like a lot of us saw this coming, right? And yet, here we are. It’s almost predictable at this point. They’ll keep doing whatever “Dear Leader” tells them. It’s the age-old story of choosing a clown and expecting a circus. The idea of putting someone who has dedicated their life to undermining vaccines in charge of anything related to public health feels like a bad joke.

Now, the narrative is that GOP senators are signaling to Trump. But let’s be real, they voted overwhelmingly to confirm Kennedy in the first place. During the 2024 presidential race, the Harris campaign was clear: “This RFK Jr. dude is crazy! We’re not exchanging his endorsement for a position in the administration.” And what did the Trump campaign do? “Hell, yeah, we’ll take that deal! Giving him a position might get thousands killed, but it’s worth the anti-vax vote!” The whole thing screams, “something’s fishy” to me. Trump has used Kennedy, and now he might be ready to ditch him.

Consider this: only one Republican voted against Kennedy’s confirmation. Just one. Mitch McConnell, of all people. Fifty-two Republicans were perfectly fine with his rhetoric on vaccine denial and his dangerous stance on public health. And now, suddenly, they’re concerned? Please. What can they even do at this point? They voted for him. He said exactly what he’d do: destroy the public health infrastructure we’ve taken for granted for decades.

Less than a year later, here we are. Vulnerable to the next pandemic, potentially facing contaminated food supplies, and seeing research funding for crucial diseases slashed. All because a “narcissistic worm-brained monster,” with no scientific background, who’s been spreading lies about public health for years, was given a prominent role. And the Republican senators said it was okay. It feels like a blatant betrayal.

These senators are masters of gaslighting. I’m just tired of listening to their lies. The media needs to stop falling for it. If they haven’t done anything to get rid of him after all the damage he’s caused, they never will. It feels like a performative act for the cameras, designed to give the illusion of action when there is none. They’ll continue to do Trump’s bidding. I call BS on this whole charade. If Trump so much as scowls at these senators, they’ll back down faster than you can blink.

“Thin ice?” He’s already drowning. Congress won’t do anything. All of his cabinet choices are the worst possible options. Are they “concerned”? He’s been a disaster from day one. These senators are collectively furrowing their brows, but they’re not going to do anything. Only Trump can fire him, and he’s going to do what he wants. Remember that exchange where a senator asked Kennedy if he agreed that Trump deserved a Nobel Prize for Operation Warp Speed? When Kennedy said, “Absolutely,” the senator pounced, pointing out the contradiction with Kennedy’s stance on vaccines.

This is why they need to stand up and publicly call for Kennedy’s removal and the reinstatement of the people removed from the CDC and the vaccine commission. Shouldn’t the GOP senators be signaling that Trump himself is on thin ice? Republicans are a national embarrassment. The hope before the article says that Kennedy got the backing of all GOP except 2. Please, it’s more strongly worded letters. Meaningless but intended to seem like they’re doing something.

The MAGA senate has completely abdicated their duty to the people and instead become an arm of the Trump administration. Now that the damage that will last years or decades has been done, the GOP begins to feel the start of a spine growing in their backs. Just a vertebrae or two though so far. Long way to go. They knew what he was when they confirmed him. I mean hell, the guy literally ran for president on an anti vaccine platform.

This surprise that they are suddenly displaying seriously brings to question who exactly has brain worms. Why not break the ice? RFK is the worst possible official and that just means he is on thin ice??!! Hes on the Epstein list with Trump. Only reason he is where he is. GOP needs to play the clip of RFK Jr. saying Operation Warp Speed was a failure to Trump on loop. No he’s not. Every once in a while you get a glimpse of the GOPs recognition they royally fucked up, like at the hearing yesterday, but the acknowledgement that if they continue to toe the line they’ll remain in power and rich is the override every time. All they do is warn people. He wont be removed and his policies will be implemented eithet by him or some equally inept replacement. The maga movement needs the anti vax crowd and this is straight out of the project 2025 playbook Impeachment needs the house and 67 votes in the Senate, he is on the firmest ground imaginable cause these senators are spineless. Thin ice? He should have broken through the ice and been sitting as deep as the Titanic before he was even confirmed for the position. “The fox still has a few hens left to eat. Once they’re all gone we’ll kick it out of the coop.” Why is he on any ice at this point? He’s more brain worms than man Day late and a dollar short shouldn’t have confirmed his stupid ass in the first place. lol thin ice. Starting to sound the democrats.

Maybe they’ll write a strong letter “‘I’ll take warnings from spineless cowards that don’t mean jack shit’ for 200, Alex” A) Everyone knew this was Kennedy’s whole reason for being nominated. B) Nobody cares what GOP Senators think. Not Trump, certainly. Republicans have had a lot of buyers remorse lately Thin ice (40 inches of ice) just when ya thought politics couldn’t get crazier, am I right or am I right? Honestly tho, feels like we’re living in an episode of Black Mirror.
