The White House spokesperson, for instance, wasted no time in denouncing the whole thing, calling it a waste of liberal money. Of course, the statement also included a reminder that Trump had supposedly kicked Epstein out of his club. The implication is that this somehow absolves Trump of any deeper connection. The spokesperson went on to say that the “liberals” and the media knew about Epstein for years and did nothing to help his victims, while Trump, apparently, was all about transparency. It’s a classic example of the “blame everyone else” approach. Also, the spokesperson emphasized that “very few people” have ever considered Trump to be a good friend of Epstein.
However, the historical record tells a different story. In 2002, Trump described Epstein as a “terrific guy.” Then, recordings surfaced last year of Epstein himself calling Trump his “closest friend.” It’s hard to reconcile those statements with the current narrative coming from the White House. Talk about a disconnect! It’s almost as if the situation necessitates a lot of… gaslighting, obstruction, and projection.
Looking back, it’s reminiscent of that statue of Netanyahu that appeared in Tel Aviv a few years back. You know, the one of him in a rather…unflattering position. That one just showed up overnight, too. This Epstein/Trump statue has a similar air of mystery. And the details are striking. Twelve feet tall. Twelve feet, like the age of…well, you get the idea. The choice of materials – foam, resin, wood, and wire – suggest a quick installation.

The denials and the shifting narratives are what really get to me. It’s all designed to obscure the truth and protect the guilty.
The statues themselves. They’re likely not as heavy as you might think. Easy to move, get them into position, and then make a quick getaway. I mean, picture it: a car, the cover of darkness, and a team of…well, we can only imagine. I do think that the statue should have made Trump a bit bigger. While they’re at it, blame Biden for not releasing files, when the trials and appeals were ongoing. The supporters just change their minds with every lie they hear.
Ultimately, the appearance of this statue is a stark reminder of the complicated relationship between these two men. It is a provocative gesture that has immediately captured the attention of the nation, and hopefully, it will get more attention than the statues of people of color. It is a very loud statement.
