His grandmother, Debbie Robinson, confirmed the family’s Republican leanings, stating that both his parents are registered Republicans. Tyler’s father was the one who turned him into the authorities after he confessed to the crime. Despite Robinson’s previous nonpartisan voter registration, Utah Governor Spencer Cox stated he had become more political in recent years and disliked Kirk, with incriminating Discord messages further implicating him.
