It’s the kind of phrase that buys time, allowing families to be informed and proper pronouncements to be made. The impression I get is that this isn’t a situation where recovery is likely. In fact, I keep getting the sense that this is a very serious injury, and the odds aren’t good. I mean, it’s a grim situation.
