It seems pretty straightforward: Donald Trump doesn’t handle rejection well, especially when it comes from a place he perceives as influential and powerful, like Washington, D.C. The core of the issue is that he lives in a bubble, a world where he’s always right, and winning is the only acceptable outcome. Any deviation from this narrative, any hint of disapproval, is met with denial and a flurry of conspiracy theories.
He doesn’t accept blame. If he loses, it’s because the election was rigged. If people dislike him, there must be a secret plot. If a deal goes sideways, it’s someone else’s fault. This pattern is a key to understanding his appeal, as it resonates with his supporters who share this outlook. They see themselves in him, wanting to be on the winning side, and in turn, to punish those they perceive as enemies.
His supporters’ unwavering loyalty is a testament to the existing delusions, ignorance, and even hatred that exists in American society. The fact that anyone supports this man is baffling to some, because of his obvious insecurities. He can’t accept criticism or defeat. It’s the whole country, not just D.C., that hates his guts, and he’s going to find even more of it in NYC. There are not many redeeming qualities.

He is surrounded by sycophants who feed his ego, which likely keeps him from finding out what the vast majority of Americans truly think of him. This “melt down” feels like a malignant narcissist showing everyone his cards. It appears that he may be going to lose it completely when he finds out how everyone feels about him. A lot of people would like to see some data on him. Questions like, is he slowing down mentally? Do people consider him intelligent and nice? What is the most unattractive thing about him? It’s clear that he puts the blame on others and is a small man.
It’s not just D.C.; people across the country and the globe seem to have disdain for him. One suggestion is that he should be given the “Order of Lenin.” This type of satire is a common reaction to Trump’s behavior. He seems incapable of accepting responsibility for mistakes or setbacks.
He has always been like this, and he has never taken responsibility for anything he has done wrong. To him, any failure is someone else’s fault. This perceived weakness is a turn-off for those who see themselves as “normal.” It is an example of a child needing a reward because they are not behaving. He is the embodiment of the in-group being right, and any opposing viewpoint is a lie.
Ultimately, Trump will say and do whatever benefits him most at any given time. He shares a common trait with his supporters: blaming others instead of looking inward. This is where the concept of “MAGA” really begins to make sense. The “MAGA” crowd is full of insecure people, many of whom are also the same. They see themselves as special and entitled to privileges.
