Trump says Putin may not want to make a deal on Ukraine. That’s the crux of it all, isn’t it? All this time, there was the expectation that Putin was eager to end the war he started by invading Ukraine. The narrative seemed to be that peace was on the horizon, that this situation could be resolved easily. The whole idea of Trump “solving the problem on day one” seemed utterly ludicrous. It’s a reality that no one could have foreseen, yet it’s the reality.

The proposed plan seemed to be to wait and see for “two weeks,” then drag his feet to finally meet with Putin in three months. The meeting would be “productive,” and they’d agree on almost all points. However, the entire dance would just begin anew. The deadline for adding further sanctions against Russia has long since passed. It is deeply frustrating how everything is now about a “deal,” with no real action.

Why would Putin concede anything if he’s dealing with an administration that seemingly wants to do nothing? He’s going to drag things out as long as possible, taking advantage of every angle. Trump seems more interested in appeasing Putin. This is a very frustrating state of affairs. The world’s prime ministers can stop “nannying” a president who seems to be more concerned with his own image than the suffering of others.

Looking at the map in the article, one might assume that something had changed. Nothing has. The war remains a war. Are we even surprised? The world’s leaders rediscovered they can’t make either the sociopath or the pedophile behave – yet again. This is a rerun of a familiar show. Everyone expected this. Trump wanted to force the end of the war in 24 hours. It took him how many years to figure out what the world already knew?

It’s as if he borrowed so much money from Putin and oligarchs when no one in the US or Europe would give him a loan. He thinks if he tells Putin to stop, Putin will do him a favor. It’s insulting. The only thing Putin will listen to is force, so supply Ukraine with more weapons and a European army. This is an outrageous double standard! Another option is Trump might tell Putin to just take 20% of Ukraine, take a two-year break, rebuild his army and then invade again. The guy is starting to look like an idiot.

He fumbled the most beautiful peace deal. Not a varsity athlete. America’s favorite citizen, me, might have to go to DC and handle Donnie’s droppings. It took a trip to Alaska and several days to figure out what everyone already knew for the last three years. A real stable genius.

Putin’s idea of a deal is to take all of Ukraine and every other former Soviet Union country. Trump is helping Putin buy time to further wreck Ukraine. It’s all fairy tales. For Putin, this is PR; we are bringing peace and the West is against us. These two meetings gave him so much material to brainwash his citizens; he doesn’t need any other meetings.

If Ukraine manages to bomb every refinery in Russia overnight, then some conversation can be had. Destroy every bridge, every train, every power substation within a 200km range from the border, then let’s see how smug Putin will be. No power, no supplies. The only thing that will work is force. He is not going to make a deal. It’s ruining their economy. Trump is trying to get a Nobel prize. Maybe he will just nominate himself. It’s pretty sad that Ukraine was forced to give up their nuclear weapons as part of a “peace deal.”

He can do whatever the fuck he wants, and you won’t do a goddamned thing about it. Dealmaker. Art of the deal. Duh…god, he’s so stupid. When a clown is running the show, you should expect a circus. The only person who believes a deal is possible is Trump. Why would Putin want a deal? He wants Ukraine, not a small part of it. Everyone was absolutely convinced that Putin was going to apologize profusely and return all property to Ukraine. Trump wants to reclaim the old Russian Empire’s territory, and that doesn’t end with Ukraine. Trump is an asset for shitty countries. Trump is the greatest deal maker of all time!

It’s all the same old story. He did… Nothing! “The Art of the deal” is in motion, the art of the deal is clearly the art of inaction. It’s like Trump just realized the water was wet all along.
