The irony is thick, because the areas with the highest murder rates are often in deeply conservative cities.
You have to ask yourself, where are these states even getting the money to deploy troops? Is the government footing the bill? This all starts to feel like it’s straight out of a fascist playbook. It’s a classic move to try and rile up the base, while seemingly ignoring the real issues in their own backyards.
Let’s be clear, this isn’t about protecting anyone. It’s about projecting an image of strength and control. If you’re looking at the situation objectively, you have to ask why these troops are in D.C. in the first place. Are they really “patrolling”? Reports suggest they’re not even equipped for police work. No handcuffs, radios, flashlights, and in some cases, no weapons. Their main function seems to be to simply be present.
There’s also the fact that the narrative is already being twisted. People are questioning the accuracy of D.C.’s crime numbers, as if the truth doesn’t matter, only the story that fits their pre-conceived notions. It’s all designed to create fear and division. It’s a distraction from the actual problems plaguing the nation.
And here’s the real kicker: it seems like these states aren’t interested in helping their own citizens. Why aren’t they focusing on the cities that really need help to get crime rates down? Why aren’t they protecting the lives of their own supporters? Memphis needs help, surely? But instead, the focus is on D.C.
This all raises a lot of questions, doesn’t it? Why are the guards stationed in tourist areas, where there isn’t much crime, instead of the areas that are actually struggling? The answer is simple: it’s about optics. It’s about creating a narrative, a story.
The pushback we’re seeing now stems directly from the aftermath of January 6th. This isn’t about crime; it’s about control. It’s about projecting power and influence. It’s about the rise of an ideology.
The fact is, if the leaders in these states were truly interested in solving the problem, they would work towards solutions, not exacerbate them. High poverty, income inequality, lack of education and employment opportunities, coupled with easy access to guns, tend to create a breeding ground for the kind of violence we’re seeing. It’s a simple equation. They may call it “law and order” but this isn’t the answer.
Unfortunately, it seems the real intent is to gain more control for their own benefit, regardless of how it impacts the lives of the people they are supposed to represent. It all points to a deeply troubling trend, a sign that the country is in a precarious position.
