Freaked-Out Trump Pleads for End to MAGA’s Epstein Civil War
It appears Trump is desperately trying to quell the infighting within MAGA over the Epstein files, a situation he seems to be actively fueling. The narrative has been a rollercoaster, starting with promises of exposing the “deep state” and the release of explosive files, then shifting to claims that the files don’t exist, and finally, the assertion that Democrats concocted them to frame Republicans. The mere fact that he’s so vehemently trying to shut down the conversation suggests his involvement is significant. If he were truly innocent, wouldn’t the best strategy be to release the files and clear his name? Instead, he’s resorting to desperate pleas, trying to deflect blame onto his political rivals and former administrations, including the predictable “Obama and Hillary” boogeymen. This kind of behavior, particularly his fear-mongering about the files being “written” by his political opponents, only serves to amplify the perception of guilt and desperation.
