Donald Trump has become the deep state. He is the one stealing away people’s liberties. He is the one weaponizing government and protecting the ruling class. It’s a harsh statement, I know, but honestly, when you look at the evidence, it’s hard to deny the truth of it. The sentiment “Has become?!” just feels almost comical in its understatement. From the very beginning, the signs were there, weren’t they?

Let’s face it, Trump has always been a product of the establishment, not a rebel against it. The fact that he owns a skyscraper, a symbol of wealth and power, should have been a major clue for anyone who thought he was a “man of the people.” He’s a billionaire, a direct beneficiary of a system that benefits the few at the expense of the many. Why would he ever want to change that? It’s almost as if his campaign was built on projecting onto others the very things he and his allies were doing. Accusing Democrats of things while simultaneously engaging in the same behaviors.

Consider his background. The questionable real estate deals, the connections to Russian oligarchs, the links to figures like Epstein. These weren’t the actions of an outsider fighting against the system; they were the moves of someone deeply entrenched within it, a master of navigating and exploiting its loopholes. The repeated bankruptcies that he seemed to bounce back from, seemingly immune to any real consequences, are more examples of his place within that very system. The creation of a shadowy organization hidden behind layers of shell corporations is just how he’s always conducted business.

The accusations and insults he and his base hurl at others are nothing more than projection. They’re accusing others of the very things they are doing and intend to do. Remember, the deep state was never a real thing; it was a boogeyman. It’s now become a reality because that’s what they wanted to create. The very notion that Trump was fighting against an established power structure was always a charade.

Look at how he has always been portrayed, not just by those who oppose him, but even by some of his own supporters, as a figure who embodies the characteristics of a populist entertainer like Lonesome Rhodes in “A Face in the Crowd.” Charismatic, and able to garner massive power by speaking the language of “the people”. But Rhodes, as in Trump, shows his true self when he thinks the cameras are off and the fans are not watching. He is an opportunist, interested in serving the interests of himself and those he’s aligned himself with.

The hypocrisy is staggering. They’re the ones weaponizing government. They’re the ones stealing away liberties. They’re the ones protecting the ruling class, and yet, they’ve convinced many that they are the victims. What you see now is not some dramatic shift, but the full flowering of what was always there. The fact that he could fail to meet even the basic standards of decency and still maintain a large following shows how deep the rot goes.

The core of the matter is: Trump and his allies were always the deep state. They were always the people who were going to consolidate power, reshape the government to their liking, and use it as a tool to enrich themselves and their cronies. This is what the “deep state” paranoia was always about. It was code for the “wrong” people, (minorities and those of Jewish faith), in their minds. It was a thinly veiled attempt to install a hierarchy where those who looked like them were at the top, and everyone else was below.

This isn’t a matter of “becoming.” This is a matter of finally seeing the truth, of removing the blinders. The real danger lies in the fact that a large segment of the population is still, willfully, blind to this reality. This is not about whether Democrats are perfect, of course they are not, but the danger is in empowering the pedophile ring of criminals, empowered by Republicans, who would forever steal away the freedoms of future generations.

And those conservatives, who bend the knee to Trump, and the GOP, will learn that every accusation is an admission. It is imperative to wake up, to acknowledge the truth, and to understand that the fight for our liberties is far from over.
